Mythos

A private wine collector, known for his influence in wine media and award-winning hospitality ventures, recently came into possession of a storied and expansive collection of vintage wine. The origin traces back over two decades to a Hollywood figure who secured a 1,000-case locker at a newly converted wine storage facility in Los Angeles. Over 20 years, the locker was meticulously filled with bottles from across the globe—Bordeaux, Napa, Barolo, Burgundy, and more—curated not for resale, but for reverence.

After the original owner was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, his spouse enlisted Heritage Auctions to catalog and extract 400 of the finest cases for individual bottle sale. The remaining 600 cases—still remarkable in breadth and quality—were offered to a mutual connection in the wine world, a sommelier and former wine bar co-founder known for redefining guest experience in Los Angeles. He purchased the remainder, offering them now in curated 12-bottle cases for $300 each.

Only 150 cases remain.
