Build
Registration:
- Option B: Gated Event with Manual Permissioning — Access gated by email address and only ticketed guests will be permitted. Eventbrite or similar will handle registrations and the list of registrants will need to be exported to Topia an hour before the event.
- Pros: Requires no coding, feels exclusive, prompts users to create Topia accounts.
- Cons: Requires account creation, forgetting which email was used to register creates confusion upon entry, no tickets can be sold during the event (or re-export is needed).
Experience:
- Musical Conversations — We are planning to develop hyper simplistic world maps that function as ice-breakers. These will be similar to Snakes and Ladders and, when loaded, an audio recording will prompt everyone to choose a colored line to follow. Each line will work its way towards a conversational area. We'll do this a few times throughout the event.
