Preemptive Hindsight
you often never see the full picture until it's painted. I'll often use pre-emptive hindsight to counter this. Asking myself, "when I'm 40 and looking back on this moment, what did I miss then that I see now? Where could it have been improved?"
Looking at the future from the further future while in the present moment.
