"It's all about what not to build" was @Raj Singh's advice to me in preparing for development of @MythOS; it was the kind of suggestion delivered with an earnest tone and direct eye contact. When managing #product-development—especially in regards to platforms and software—it's important to separate your desires from the wants and needs of your potential customers. @The Lean Startup suggests avoiding this trap by developing a @Minimum Viable Product (MVP); products with the fewest features necessary to satisfy early customers and acquire feedback crucial for future product development. [1][2] Choosing what to build is hard though as most things seem important, but "nothing is as important as it is when we're thinking about it." [3] Raj's @Subtractionism approach to the lean methodology is a method of @Bandwidth Reduction; reducing @Decision Fatigue by predefining a clear set of #principles.
