Advertising slogans, also called taglines, are short phrases used in 🏷️#advertising campaigns to generate publicity and unify a company’s marketing strategy. [1] These phrases may be used to attract attention to a distinctive product feature or reinforce a company’s brand. [2]
Slogans succeed when they're memorable. Coca-cola's "Open Happiness" says a lot with only three syllables. Slogans include a key benefit; instead of talking about the product, they talk about the way the product makes people feel. They differentiate the brand; a great tagline sets a flag in the ground by making a claim about the brand. Finally, they impart positive feelings about the brand. [3]
