As this chakra becomes open and balanced, higher spiritual levels of awareness are accessed. There is a strong link to the divine as well as a devout love and aspiration for God [Love, Divine, Creator Energy, Life]. Selfless, unconditional love is also an attribute of a healthy and balanced High Heart chakra.
When the 8th chakra is deficient, there can be a tendency to ignore the needs of others. As the chakra becomes completely blocked or closed, rejection of the Spirit and spiritual qualities are the effect. Pessimism and negativity are the view points of life and it becomes extremely difficult to express emotions even though you can feel them.
