A vacationship is a relationship you have while on vacation. Whether as the result of a chance encounter or active dating, they are relationships at hyper-speed and have a defined point of termination with an engrained romantic notion that the bond could transcend borders and visas. Or, rather, the distance might keep one's transgressions thousands of miles away.
A momentary girlfriend of mine introduced me to the term "vacationship" when we had discovered we'd fallen into one. For us, having the language—which she had only recently discovered—enabled a mutually helpful and equally educational experience.
