Mythos

The Stanford Review is a conservative and libertarian-leaning campus newspaper founded at Stanford University in 1987 by 📝Peter Thiel and 11 other conservative men. Established to "stir things up," the publication frequently criticizes dominant campus culture and academic curricula from a biting, right-wing perspective. During Thiel’s tenure as its founding editor-in-chief, the paper became a training ground for his future network, serving as the foundational incubator for the so-called 📝The PayPal Mafia. The paper gained national attention for its opposition to multiculturalism and diversity initiatives, arguments that were later expanded upon in 📝The Diversity Myth. Beyond its intellectual output, the publication launched the careers of several high-profile figures on the American right, including David Sacks. Today, the Stanford Review is recognized as a central pillar in Thiel’s long-term strategy to build influential, like-minded networks that challenge mainstream institutional norms.
