They re-label ‘breaking news’ as ‘broken news’ and highlight the 📝Human Use of Human Beings to scare readers with sensationalism by overexposing risks while blinding them to systematic progress in the service of the 📝Monetization of Attention and subsequent "📝Growth At All Costs".
As a function of their business model—generating revenue from advertising placements—the news misleads readers because it pays more attention to the sensational, exceptional, negative, recent, and incidental, thereby losing sight of the ordinary, usual, positive, historical, and systematic.

The Correspondent is an offshoot of “De Correspondent,” a Dutch startup that uses a choose-what-you-pay membership model for a year's worth of access to its news. De Correspondent already has 60,000 subscribers in the Netherlands.
