Oliver Evans is the founder and CEO of @The KINN, a @Los Angeles, CA based community and event space focused on supporting conscious entrepreneurs. Evans began his career in the nightlife industry after moving from the UK to New York in his twenties, where he initially had no personal or professional connections. He established a personal networking practice of meeting three new people each time he went out, consistently following up and fostering introductions among acquaintances. Over time, this approach allowed him to build a diverse social network described as a “chosen family,” connecting people from multiple continents through shared interests in music and dance. After experiencing burnout from the demanding lifestyle, he relocated to Los Angeles and founded The KINN. Drawing on insights from his earlier career, The KINN intentionally replaces the chaotic elements of nightlife with an environment designed for focus, connection, and meaningful community. The space features intentional design elements, such as placing pictures of cultural icons along the staircase, and serves as a hub for curated gatherings and modern social rituals. Evans credits these strategies with his transition from outsider to insider within elite social circles, gaining access to high-profile events and communities without traditional advantages. I was introduced to Oliver through @Brendan Weafer and have since spoken at The KINN multiple times. Each time, I’ve been struck by how intentional and grounded the space feels—equal parts business incubator and spiritual dojo. Hosting workshops there on automation and AI has felt less like a transaction and more like contribution to an evolving ethos. Oliver’s curation of community is rare: ambitious yet heart-led. I sense that The KINN is becoming a signal node for a new archetype of founder—one who blends capital with consciousness.
