Matt Cutts is a 🏷️#software-engineer and former public official known for leading 📝Google's webspam team and later serving as Administrator of the United States Digital Service. He joined Google in January 2000, worked on ads engineering, and designed SafeSearch, before moving to the Search Quality group, where he addressed search engine optimization issues for publishers and webmasters. He was appointed acting head of USDS and confirmed as administrator in October 2018. He earned a bachelor's in computer science and mathematics from the University of Kentucky and an M.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
