Casper Boards was created to fill a personal need of mine to be able to fidget freely but still work effectively. Since elementary school I have always been in sports and skateboarded most of my life. Once I graduated college and started working full time, I found myself becoming extremely restless sitting at a desk all day. I started using my skateboard as a footrest under my desk, but that movement was limited. I then started using some massage balls I had at home to be able to move in all directions. This very rough prototype somehow worked. I used that for a few weeks and got feedback from co-workers which helped me adjust the design a bit. From here i became friends with Kapow 3D in Santa Monica, who are a 3D printing company to help make my first legitimate prototype. It was still a bit rough, but was able to use this 3D printed version to launch a successful Indiegogo campaign at the end of 2018.
Fast forward to 8 months later, our manufacturing is done and our board have landed in the US and ready to sell. So for the last 6 months we have been actively selling our boards online, mainly through our Shopify site and Amazon. Facebook is our main marketing channel, but our budgets are still a bit small.
