Mythos

An energetic cleanse is a deliberate, often multi-dimensional process of removing non-resonant relationships, stories, and obligations from one’s field. Unlike traditional detoxes or boundary-setting practices, this approach integrates administrative closure—such as legal separations, contract terminations, or friend breakups—with emotional and narrative 📝sovereignty. The intention is not simply to create distance, but to transmute lingering entanglements into integration, ensuring that each unresolved story receives a conclusive ending and every remaining cord is consciously severed.

This process frequently emerges during significant transitions, such as after a breakup, the end of a partnership, or an experience of betrayal. It is marked by invoking finality: naming distortions, drawing lines of accountability, and shifting from “waiting to see” to “witnessing what is.” Sometimes, it involves reaching out to those still entangled in the pattern—not to reconcile, but to relinquish the hold their unresolved behavior has on one’s mind. Ultimately, an energetic cleanse results in a profound reorganization of mental, emotional, and spiritual space, making way for new, more coherent relationships to emerge.

My first cleanse started with a timeline—a simple doc outlining what needed to be filed and by when in the process of finalizing 📝My First Divorce. But it didn’t stay a doc; it became a purge. I called it an energetic cleanse as a joke, but the humor faded as the process deepened. I was cleaning house, not out of bitterness, but because it was necessary. Old stories—contracts, friendships, unspoken agreements—still took up space in my psyche. I noticed I was holding onto the pain of betrayal and, more insidiously, the hope that maybe things would resolve if I just waited long enough. That “maybe” was exhausting me.

So I started reaching out—not to reconnect, not to rage, but to speak clearly. To say: I see what happened. I know what was distorted. I won’t carry this anymore. Each conversation, each email, each paper trail was another release—another bowel movement of the soul. And underneath it all, not just anger, but grief: the kind that comes when you finally stop hoping someone will become who you needed them to be. This cleanse isn’t about control. It’s about sovereignty. I don’t need these people to validate my reality anymore. I’ve already reclaimed it.
