In ancient Greece, the symposium was a part of a banquet that took place after the meal, when drinking for pleasure was accompanied by music, dancing, recitals, or conversation. [1] The Greek word συμπόσιον, or symposion, translates as "to drink together." [1][2] ~ After @Eric Weiner in @The Geography of Genius Our fortnightly @Symposium originated as a @vague container for a practice of gathering. After I read about the superficiality of our social leisure in @The Ascent of Humanity, I saw where we had unintentionally framed the space for @co-consumption, prompting it to be reformatted for @play.
