Mythos

Interest networks are platforms designed to connect individuals around shared interests, topics, or passions rather than personal relationships. These networks, sometimes called interest-based networks, enable users to join groups, forums, or communities centered on specific subjects, forming what is known as an "interest graph"—a map of connections between users and the topics they engage with. Unlike 📝Social Networks, content and interactions in interest networks are organized and recommended based on a user's activity and affinity with particular topics, not on their existing social ties. This structure allows participants to discover and interact with new people and information beyond their immediate circle, fostering knowledge sharing, information exchange, and community building around common interests. Examples of interest networks include 📝Reddit, Pinterest, Goodreads, and TripAdvisor.
