Mythos

Parallel polyamory is a style of @Consensual Non-Monogamy (CNM) in which an individual maintains multiple romantic or sexual relationships that exist independently of one another, with little to no direct interaction between partners (often referred to as @Metamours). Unlike @Kitchen Table Polyamory, where metamours may socialize and form connections, parallel polyamory emphasizes boundaries and autonomy within each relationship. This structure can accommodate varying levels of disclosure, ranging from full transparency to selective privacy, depending on the agreements among those involved. It is often chosen by individuals seeking to balance intimacy with personal space or to navigate differing comfort levels among partners regarding cross-relationship engagement.
