Jim Rohn (1930–2009) was an American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker. Born in Yakima, Washington, Rohn grew up in Idaho and left college after one year. He began his career as a human resource manager before joining the direct selling industry, where mentorship from John Earl Shoaff was pivotal. Rohn later became known for his seminars and personal development philosophy, influencing figures such as Tony Robbins and Brian Tracy. He authored several books, including 7 Strategies for Wealth & Happiness and The Power of Ambition. Rohn's work in personal development spanned over four decades until his death in 2009.
