This study, led by Associate Professor Pascal Wallisch and Dr. 📝Zhana Vrangalova, aims to build measurement scales for relational needs. Eligible participants must be over 18 years old, fluent in English, and reside in the US. The main online survey takes about 40 minutes and covers background, needs, and relationship experiences, with an optional 15-minute extension on personality and mental health. Participants receive a 1 in 20 chance to win a $20 Amazon gift card upon completion. While the study offers no direct benefits, it contributes to research that may be commercialized by the investigators and NYU, a detail disclosed upfront. Data confidentiality measures are in place, though the sensitive nature of the questions regarding sexuality, relationships, or childhood experiences means some discomfort is possible.
