Backlash
The article had been re-titled by her editors to be "more clickable" which caused an expected and justifiable stir in the @Reddit community. While the content of the article and interview shifted the narrative that @Reddit Marketing was to be thought of as @Strategic Contribution, the editor's had pivoted to an old narrative known to be inflammatory—not helpful. Once published, the article was quickly picked up by @Reddit's /r/conspiracy and /r/hailcorporate @subreddits. I became immediately present in those conversation threads—using @Nonviolent Communication and other @Internet Judo to shift the narrative back to one of protective evangelism. After six hours of commentary, the moderator of the /r/conspiracy subreddit thanked me for my perspectives and attendance in the conversation... which surprised me as much as it surprised the community.
