Types of Capital are the various forms of value recognized and exchanged within @One Inc, encompassing financial, natural, intellectual, social, cultural, and spiritual contributions. Each type of capital is recorded in @One Ledger, with financial and natural capital quantified at the time of contribution based on prevailing economic or labor market values, and later adjusted for longevity. Intellectual, social, cultural, and spiritual capital are documented in the ledger, but their quantification is deferred until their longer-term impact becomes clear. The system’s design draws inspiration from Potlatch societies, emphasizing public, story-based accounting and status determined by giving rather than ownership. Daily exchanges within One Economy function similarly to a Local Exchange Trading System, where a wide range of contributions are recognized and valued, creating a multifaceted and dynamic cooperative structure. Valuing

@One Ledger is a @Living System and some forms of capital are only assigned values in the future. Financial and @Natural Capital contributions are quantified in the ledger at the time of contribution and reflect their values as determined by economic and labor markets. Once we look back from the future, Financial and Natural Capital contributions will be multiplied based on their age. Intellectual, Social, Cultural, and Spiritual Capital contributions are chronicled in the ledger but only quantified in the future—once we can look back with hindsight and see their true value.
